Euro Pony Camp? What's that? We unexpectedly received an invitation for the international Camp of the euro Pony club from the FN-Warendorf. As members of the Pony Foerderkader VS we were allowed to participate as the only Germans. Our coaches Friedrich Reinhard and Silvia Balduff had selected us.A few telephone calls with the nice organizer Gill Schorn and already the suitcases were packed, up to Seefeld in Tirol. Jeßica even had her own pony trigger in the luggage. We must not forget the English dictionary because the participants did not only come from Austria, but also from England, Ireland, Switzerland and Turkey. As soon as we arrived and entered the large tent we were welcomed by a cushion battle. A wonderful week with 22 ponyriders in the riding club Seefeld began. We did not mind getting up early as a great breakfast from the hotel Menthof from Seefeld waited for us. Afterwards, the stable work began and we had to brush the ponies. There was a suitable pony for everyone - from the sweet shetlandpony to the temperful showpony. Also the private ponies were there for us to ride them. Apart from his owner Joey the black pony Tony from Tirol was ridden by Siobhan from Ireland and me. Dreßage and jumping instruction was taught in German by Claudia from the riding aßociation and Peter Schorn, and in English by Bee from England and Gill Schorn. As soon as we had taken care of the ponies the next meal was brough over from the hotel. In the afternoon, we either went to the swimming pool, the lake or shopping in Innsbruck. After dinner, we played merry games and skill exercises with and without the ponies. After we had said good night to the ponies, we continued the cushion battle. On Wednesday night, a terrible thunderstorm blew over our tent, so that our beds were dampened. Fortunately, the weather was better on the next day. The ponies' hair and tails were enwoven, older riders helped the younger ones. Bee twisted the most beautiful plaits. Like that, the ponies were beautiful for the final tournament on Friday. Before we rode a dreßage-task on E-level, we got great t-shirts with the club's logo. After that, we rode a jumping on E-level, followed by a difficult skillparcours. On Friday night we had a farewell barbeque. Some people presented some sketches or dances. We had a lot of fun and many new friends.

Euro-Pony-Camp? Was ist denn das? Unerwartet bekamen wir eine Einladung für das internationale Camp des Euro-Pony-Clubs von der FN-Warendorf. Als Mitglieder vom Pony-Förderkader VS durften wir als einzige Deutsche daran teilnehmen. Unsere Trainer Friedrich Reinhard und Silvia Balduff hatten uns ausgeguckt.Ein paar Telefongespräche mit der netten Organisatorin Gill Schorn und schon wurden die Koffer gepackt, auf nach Seefeld in Tirol. Jessica sogar mit eigenem Pony Trigger im Gepäck. Auf keinen Fall durfte das Englisch-Wörterbuch vergeßen werden, denn die Teilnehmer kamen nicht nur aus österreich, sondern aus England, Irland, der Schweiz und der Türkei. Im großen Gemeinschaftszelt wurden wir gleich mit einer Kissenschlacht begrüßt. Eine herrliche Woche mit 22 Ponyreitern im Reitclub Seefeld begann. Das frühe Aufstehen fiel uns nicht besonders schwer, da ein leckeres Frühstück aus dem Hotel Menthof aus Seefeld auf uns wartete. Danach begann die Stallarbeit: Stallgasse kehren, Boxen misten und Ponies putzen. Vom knuffigen Shetty bis zum temperamentvollen Turnierpony war für jeden das passende dabei. Auch die Privatponies wurden zur Verfügung gestellt, der schwarze Tony aus Tirol wurde, außer von seiner Besitzerin Joey, von Siobhan aus Irland und mir geritten. Es gab Dressur- und Springunterricht in Deutsch von Claudia aus dem Reitverein und Peter Schorn, in Englisch von Bee aus England und Gill Schorn. Kaum hatten wir die Ponies versorgt, kam die nächste Ladung Essen aus dem Hotel angerollt. Nachmittags war Schwimmbad, See oder Shopping in Innsbruck angesagt. Nach dem Abendessen machten wir mit und ohne Pony lustige Spiele und Geschicklichkeitsübungen. Nach dem Gute-Nacht zu den Ponies sagen, ging die Kißenschlacht wieder weiter. Mittwoch abends fiel ein schreckliches Gewitter über unser Zelt her, sodass die Schlafplätze leicht angefeuchtet wurden. Zum Glück war das Wetter am nächsten Tag wieder beßer. Den Ponies wurden die Mähnen und Schweife eingeflochten, wobei die älteren den Jüngeren halfen. Bee konnte die schönsten Zöpfe flechten. So waren die Ponies für das Abschlußturnier am Freitag richtig schick. Bevor wir eine Dressurprüfung auf E-Niveau ritten, bekamen wir tolle T-Shirts mit dem Logo darauf. Als Zweites folgte ein Springen auf E-Niveau und ein schwieriger Geschicklichkeitsparcours. Freitag abends wurde zum Abschluss ein Grillfest veranstaltet, bei dem manche auch lustige Sketche oder Tänze vorführten. Wir hatten viel Spaß und haben neue Freundschaften geschlossen.Jessica Ferguson und Eva Dürr
